Beautiful Beaches within close distance

Pula is well known for it’s picturesque sandy beaches, perfect for holiday makers who want to relax in idyllic surroundings or take a dip in the Mediterranean Sea. The beaches have more than adequate capacity and outside of the main summer season it can sometimes feel as though you have the beach to yourself.
The beach at Nora is close to our holiday apartment, and can be reached in about twenty five minutes on foot down a pleasant country lane. Behind the beach is a lagoon which can be explored by canoe and accompanied by a guide. Between the beach and the lagoon lies the archaeological site of Nora, from the Phonecian and Roman era; with a well preserved Roman theatre. Part of the ancient city has subsided into the sea and it is possible to snorkel in this area by booking with a guided tour.
For those with young children, the Turtle Sanctuary nearby the beach at Nora, is a great attraction. Here, injured turtles are nurtured until they can be returned to sea. Open to the public at certain times of the year, it is worth visiting, especially for families.

Mountain Walks and Climbing

There are some fantastic mountain walks just 30 mins drive away. Monte Arcosu is located in Sulcis-Iglesias, in south-western Sardinia and is a great place for avid climbers. The reserve is not accessible by public transport but there are many car and bike hire companies available on the island.

Sailing and Windsurfing

Pula is a beautiful seaside town and it’s mild climate throughout the year makes it the perfect place to perform water sports in all seasons. The enclosed bay is especially suited to sailing and windsurfing.

The Town of Pula

The apartment is situated in the lovely town of Pula. Numerous bars, cafés and restaurants and some very pleasant shops make this a wonderful place to stay. Pula town centre comes alive in summer, often with live music performances either in the square or outside the bars and cafés. There are numerous supermarkets and shops and fresh food is in abundance. The main shopping area is only a few minutes away from the apartment by foot.

Nearby Attractions

If you enjoy golf, Is Molas Golf Club is situated near to Pula. The course offers beautiful views across the bay. Or perhaps you prefer swimming and water slides… Blufan Water Park is in the next town, Villa St Pietro, and is only a twenty minute car journey away. The Water Park has a number of elaborate water slides that can be great fun for young families.

Cagliari - The Capital

Not far from Pula is the capital of Sardinia – Cagliari. As well as being home to the nearest airport, there are also many things to see and do in Cagliari.
